Python Market Data Developer

Job Description

Develop and enhance multiple real time market data-related systems, defining APIs, building highly reliable processes, processing large volumes of data in a performant manner.

Deliver data from a variety of vendors, including Bloomberg, Refinitiv, and many others, extending and maintaining the firms streaming and real time data offering.

Utilize AWS technologies to develop data solutions.

Understand the data being delivered, its uses and applications.

Qualifications & Requirements:

In order to effectively represent the Company and communicate with clients, the employee must be someone who has:

• Degree in Computer Science or closely related field
• 7+ years development background
• Expert knowledge of Python. Deep experience building complex, scalable systems in Python
• C++, C#, or Rust a plus
• Experience with Reuters/Refinitiv and/or Bloomberg products a plus
• Strong technical knowledge of systems supporting large, complex data sets in a performant, scalable manner
• Experience with AWS development
• Unix (Linux) and database experience (SQL, PostgreSQL)
• Analytical skills – Ability to troubleshoot and logically assess problems and determine solutions
